FBR to Enforce Digital Payments and POS Systems in Retail Sector

FBR is now taking action against retailers across all over the country, and the measures are going to be more strict than before. FBR is now changing its POS rules for retailers. It will be a must for retailers to provide customer points of sale and provide digital payment facilities for the customer. 

 

FBR is changing its Sales Tax Rules 2006, and changes will be made for hardware and software generating invoices. Therefore, the change is that the retailers who are using POS are now required to have debited or credit card facilities. QR code scanning option to pay or other ways that can help consumers to pay digitally. 

 

Moreover, CCTV cameras will be installed as well to monitor the sales.
