FIA official robbed its own customs state warehouse.

There has been a robbery and theft reported by the FIA that around 141 PKR million worth of foreign currency had been stolen from their warehouse located in Lahore. 

The FIA registered an FIR, and the main accused were two officials of the customs warehouse in Lahore. The FIA accused customs inspector Khalid Pervaiz Bhutta and former customs superintendent Muhammad Yousuf, who were both nominated as accused in the FIR.

According to news reports, the currency was stolen during 2012 to 2019 from the FIA customs state warehouse in Lahore, and the case was registered in PS Anarkali, Lahore. However, in 2020, the case was transferred back to FIA Lahore.

According to the report, the accused already got pre-arrest bail, and the next date of hearing will be held later this month in trial court in Lahore. Moreover, during this time, the FIA has successfully recovered 2.3 million PKR from Khalid Pervaiz.
