Field Marshal Asim Munir Wants Iran issue resolve through Dialog
During the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Field Marshal Asim Munir, he pressed that there should be dialogue between Iran and the US to resolve this issue. It was very rare that Pakistan was given the highlight by the US on June 18th, and a meeting was held between US President Donald Trump and Pakistan's COAS Asim Munir. The Pakistani delegation consisted of only two people: Pakistan's ISI Chief and Pakistan's COAS and Field Marshal Asim Munir. From the US side, it was President Donald Trump himself, Marco Rubio, the NSA chief, and the Middle East CENTCOM head.
First, the meeting was told that it would last only for one hour and mutual discussion would only take place during that time; however, the meeting was extended, and it was reported that it lasted around two hours to discuss other issues as well. It was reported that Pakistan pressed the US for dialogue with Iran, and they said, War is not the solution, as it creates chaos in the region. Pakistan has always stood for Iran, and Pakistan acknowledges that Israel was an absolute violation of international law and breached international law against Iran and killed its top generals.
Pakistan also discussed matters related to mutual interest with the US and also discussed the regional tension. Pakistan also discussed BLA and TTP funding by India, which creates terrorism in Pakistan and kills innocent civilians in Pakistan. Moreover, Pakistan and the US also discussed trade and investment in Pakistan. Moreover, Pakistan invited US President Donald Trump to soon visit Pakistan, and they both agreed that the US president would soon visit Pakistan.
