Foreign Players are not Returning to play IPL 2025 Due to Security Concerns

ESPN reports that many players have opted not to play in India and the IPL due to security concerns and a hostile environment. India has been blaming Pakistan for the killing of 26 people in Kashmir on the 22nd of April; however, India is unable to provide any proof or evidence that Pakistan was involved in those killings. However, India tried massive diplomatic outreach to isolate Pakistan by calling all diplomats to a meeting on the 23rd of April in New Delhi. However, some diplomats shared the inside news with the international media that India was relying on 2008 events for their claims, and they did not have any evidence to support their claim, which in frustration led India to violate international laws and attack Pakistan. In reply, Pakistan shot down six Indian jets and targeted military installations. This resulted in the suspension of both the PSL and IPL.

During these events, it was reported that many Australian players were not happy with IPL management and Indian authorities and described it as unsafe to play any sports. Many foreign stars who played in the IPL are not returning, including English cricketers, and commented that it is unsafe to play in India. They said that players cannot play any cricket or sports in a hostile and panicked environment. The media say that this is a massive setback for IPL 2025, as many players are not in a mood to return to India to play in the IPL.

India tried its best to isolate Pakistan and even twisted the arms of Sri Lanka to use its soil against Pakistan. However, it did not work, and the result was that now most of the foreign players that played in IPL 2025 are not willing to return and play IPL. Today, IPL 2025 starts again.
