Government Focuses On Efficient Distribution Of Relief Funds

The PM orders a proper 3rd party audit of their Ramadan 2025 package. During the review meeting of the Ramadan package by the federal government, the PM underscored the importance of digital wallets and other digital projects. 

Moreover, during the meeting, the PM ordered a proper 3rd party audit of their Ramadan 2025 package and instructed the management to disburse the Ramadan package relief amount through digital wallets. The funds should reach needy families and deserving families. Moreover, the PM acknowledges the efforts of the State Bank of Pakistan and the National Database and Registration Authority, which helped the government to identify needy and deserving families that were eligible for the Ramadan 2025 relief package that was announced by the federal government of Pakistan.

On 1st March, the PM officially announced the Ramadan 2025 package, and they announced a PKR 20 billion package for 4 million deserving families, who are reported to be 20 million people. Moreover, these families will receive PKR 5000 through a digital wallet.

The PM stated that “the amount under the Ramazan Relief Package is being transferred to the beneficiaries through a highly convenient and transparent digital wallet system." This model should be adopted for other government-run schemes.”

Express Tribune reports that during the meeting it was revealed that the authorities had contacted 1.5 million deserving families and 63% of Ramadan package beneficiaries had received their relief package. Moreover, it is reported that around 2224 staff members have been given tasks for the Ramadan 2025 package, and they are deployed to implement the Ramadan 2025 package.
