The government is the reason behind the Internet shutdown, said the PTA chairman.

The Senate Standing Committee raised questions about Internet disruption and shutdown from the PTA chairperson. The PTA chairperson agreed that Pakistan has one of the worst internets in the world, and it is also ranked at 97% for its internet speed globally. Senators asked why there is a shutdown of the internet at times, and it was responded that it is done on government instructions, and we have to follow. Moreover, the PTA chairperson said that we also request social media platforms to delete objectionable content. The Standing Committee advises solving these issues as soon as possible.
