Islamabad United Won by 102 Runs Against Peshawar Zalmi
Sahibzada Farhan's magnificent innings helped Islamabad United to decimate Peshawar Zalmi. Peshawar Zalmi did not bother to change their approach, and the result was that Sahibzada Farhan smashed Peshawar Zalmi's bowling attack. The management of Peshawar Zalmi and Babar Azam made the same mistakes that they made in their first match against Quetta Gladiators. Whether it is blowing, batting, or fielding, Peshawar Zalmi lacks in these departments, and even a school team would be able to beat Peshawar Zalmi if they do not change this setup.
Sahibzada Farhan scored 106 runs by playing only 52 balls, and it officially became the fastest century in PSL. Colin Munro played a supportive role as he made 40 runs by playing 27 balls, and both of these players helped IU to post a total of 243/5. To be honest, nobody shined for Peshawar Zalmi blowing, and it is not even worth mentioning. In reply, only Mohammad Harris looked serious about chasing down the total, while Babar Azam, as expected, got out and only made 1 run.
Imad Wasim took three wickets and only conceded 26 runs, and Naseem Shah took one wicket and only conceded 16 runs. It seems like Javed Afridi has to change the current setup, which he hired for Peshawar Zalmi, as the likes of legends, who are the main reason for the Pakistan cricket team's bad performance, including Babar Azam (captaincy issues), are a cause of concern for Peshawar Zalmi. As for Babar Azam, the T20 game has changed; there is no room for anchor innings or holding the wickets for the latter part. T20 is all about hitting boundaries and this is where Peshawar Zalmi is lacking.
The clear issue, which even Babar Azam realized, is that Peshawar Zalmi is not utilizing power play properly, which is the main reason they are losing.
