Islamabad United Won by 47 runs against Multan Sultans

As expected, bad luck continues with Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi, and it is expected that at least now Mohammad Rizwan has learned something. It was expected, the way things were going with Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam. Both Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans are at the bottom, and to claim the top position will be a very tough task from here. Both common issues Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi are facing are due to the opening being far too slow, and it does not match the standard that current T20 requires. Both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were dropped from the national T20 for the same reason, and now the management of both Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans needs to review their decisions.

Islamabad United batted first, and as expected, Sahibzada Farhan started with a bang and scored 53 runs by facing 35 balls. Colin Munro scored 48 runs when facing only 25 balls. Moreover, Haider Ali and Jason Holder both scored 30s and helped Islamabad United to score 202/6. For Multan Sultans, only David Willey was the standout bowler, who took 1 wicket and whose economy rate was around 7.0.

In reply, Multan Sultans lost the early wicket of Shai Hope; however, Mohammad Rizwan covered the powerplay well. Mohammad Rizwan made 38 runs by facing 27 balls, and Usman Khan made 31 runs by facing 20 balls. Moreover, Iftikhar Ahmed made 32 runs from facing 26 balls; however, Multan Sultans were all out for 155 runs and lost the match. Jason Holder was the standout bowler and took four wickets while conceding 25 runs.
