Peshawar Zalmi is Still the in the game for PSL Season 10

Babar Azam won the toss and ensured that Islamabad United did not post a competitive total against Peshawar Zalmi. Babar Azam took a bold step and forced Islamabad United to bat first, which could have gone either way, and if any top order of Islamabad United clicked, then it would have been a nightmare for Peshawar Zalmi, and they would have been easily knocked out from the PSL season 10 tournament. However, Peshawar Zalmi ticks all the boxes except fielding, as Babar Azam is dropping easy catches, and this is the first catch dropped by Babar Azam in PSL season 10. Additionally, there are several recent examples where Babar Azam dropped sitters and easy catches.

The openers for Islamabad United did not provide the dynamic start they needed or had in previous matches. Sahibzada Farhan made 36 runs by facing 35 balls, which is too slow for T20 matches. Kyle Mayers made 18 runs by playing 18 balls. If it was not Ben Dwarshuis, then Islamabad United would not have been able to post runs above 100, as he scored 33 runs by facing 17 balls. Mohammad Ali was the pick of the bowler for Peshawar Zalmi as he took 3 wickets and conceded only 26 runs in his four-over spell.

In reply, Peshawar Zalmi did not start well as both the openers of Peshawar Zalmi got out early, and Babar Azam played a very cautious innings, while the batsman of the day was Maaz Sadaqat, as he scored 55 runs by facing only 33 balls. PSL Season 10 is seriously lacking young players like Maaz Sadaqat, who should have gotten the chance to play for PSL. It is a sad reality that company owners are not picking the right players. Maaz Sadaqat is a unique introduction to PSL season 10. Moreover, Babar Azam scored 53 runs when facing 49 balls, and Peshawar Zalmi easily chased down the total of 143 in just 17 overs.
