PM Shahbaz Launches Anti-Polio Campaign across Pakistan.

Polio cases have been Pakistan's biggest weakness in its health sector, and it seems that Pakistan has been unable to tackle this issue. Polio cases were reduced in recent years, but now they are increasing.

Saudi Arabia has now linked its visa with a polio certificate to issue visas to Pakistanis, which shows the world takes polio cases very seriously. Now even the PM has come forward to tackle the polio issue, as he himself felt embarrassed and said that it is a serious setback for Pakistan that 77 polio cases have been diagnosed last year.

PM Shahbaz launched a nationwide drive for the anti-polio campaign, and during the event on Sunday (2nd February), he stated that he wants to eliminate polio from Pakistan. He stated that this drive would target millions of children in Pakistan and make Pakistan a polio-free nation.

He further stated that last year, 77 polio case reports were a serious setback for Pakistan, and it should not have happened. Moreover, the government is hopeful that they will be able to target almost all areas, including remote areas, and make Pakistan polio-free.
