Saudi Arabia Makes Meningitis Vaccine Mandatory for Hajj 2025

Saudi Arabia has made the meningitis vaccine mandatory for people who travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj. Moreover, any people who are traveling to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj from any country must be vaccinated against meningitis.

Saudi Arabia has been very strict with visitors and travelers to avoid any serious disease and further spread. Moreover, this rule of vaccination also applies to local Saudi citizens as well. Saudi Arabia has said that without the vaccination, Hajj bookings would not be accepted, and a person cannot perform Hajj as well.

Pilgrims who are traveling for Hajj must have proof of or a certificate for the vaccination; otherwise, they won't be allowed to perform Hajj, as the meningitis vaccine is now mandatory to perform Hajj for both international travelers and local Saudi citizens. 

The Saudi Arabian Authority said that a safe and secure Hajj is very important, and they want to stop the spread of the disease because Hajj is performed by millions of people every year. Moreover, it is important that safety precautions are taken to stop the disease. This move by Saudi Arabia will stop the disease from spreading during Hajj, and the safety of millions of people is the top priority for the Saudi government. 

Moreover, Pakistan Civil Aviation has instructed travelers that they must carry a certificate and proof that they are vaccinated, especially for polio and meningitis vaccinations; otherwise, they won't be able to travel to Saudi Arabia, and they will be deported.
